The CAM project
The CAM - Campus Archaeological Museum is an initiative of the non-profit Kepha Foundation with support of POR Sicily.
It is a project for the research and promotion of archaeological culture, for the enhancement and development of tourism on the grounds of the necropolis of Selinunte, in close proximity to the renowned archaeological park.
The project has provided for the outfitting of equipped areas and activated operational methods in three strategic areas. .

Principale objectives
- The recovery of the structure of historical and landscape relevance, as baglio Case Calcara.
- The creation of a modern museum, with an exhibitive and technical museological approach able to house valuable archaeological collections from the Selinuntian necropolis as well as findings of scientific interest recovered during excavations carried out in the area adjacent to the campus grounds.
- The organizing of educational areas and facilities for scientific research, for the purpose of safeguarding and enhancing the area’s historical and artistic patrimony.
- Tapping into the area’s tourism by way of a differentiated and alternative offer in terms of the promotion of the cultural product and services of this territory.
