Areas and functions

The entire architectural complex is distributed around a courtyard with, in its centermost area, a large water well, perhaps the most significant element of the entire Baglio.
It consists of an underground water storage tank and a large basin for the collecting of ground water, used in connection with the saie system of water irrigation distribution.

In consideration of the existing layout, the organization of the buildings can be grouped into three distinct clusters:

The large area of relevance, including a vast agricultural area, will be entirely allocated to the excavation activities and facilities for visitors.

Adjacent to the areas outside the building intended for laboratory use, the horizontal roofing element is the contemporary version of the elevated walkways used in ancient times for observation and for defense. This promenade, an out-and-out suspended public square, is the element of continuity which joins the archaeological center, the museum, and the park grounds.

Le attività e le funzioni relative agli spazi disponibili saranno distribuite in stretta connessione con le modalità aggregative e di fruizione previste dai servizi.
